1. On the Fringe

Catch the intimate and alternative performances by theatre artists from around the world at the Nutrien Fringe Theatre and Street Festival, Aug 2-11. Taking place in the heart of Saskatoon’s Broadway District, this popular event takes place over 10 days at six venues. Enjoy 33 plays and 231 performances. Besides street performers and theatrical performances, the festival also has a number of food trucks and food vendors, musical performances, and a Fringe Market with handmade products.

Saskatoon’s main summer event, the Saskatoon Exhibition (EX) takes place over Aug. 7-12 at Prairieland Park, just 12 minutes directly south from Saskatoon hotels in the north end of the city. 4. Pay Ode to the Bard

The Saskatoon Shakespeare Festival continues in the big white tents off Spadina Crescent along the shore of the South Saskatchewan River. See some of the Bard’s best, including The Merry Wives of Windsor, Hamlet and a unique take on Titus Andronicus with Titus A Puppet Revenge. Shows take place daily until Aug. 19


5. Blast Off to See the Fireworks

Located right in the centre of the city not far from our hotel rooms in Saskatoon, River Landing and Friendship Park is the site of the Nutrien Fireworks Festival, Aug. 31- Sept. 1. Watch performances on the mainstage and enjoy vendors, kids activities and more before the fireworks, choreographed to music, light up the night sky.
