4 Ways to Enjoy Your Business Trip from Your Saskatoon Hotel
Let’s face it. All work and no play makes business travel dull.
If you are planning a business trip to the city of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, you’ll want to mix some leisure activities along with those business meetings and conferences.
Here are some ways you can mix business with pleasure from your Saskatoon hotel.
1. Take in Some Tourist Attractions
It would be a shame if you visited Saskatoon and all you saw was the space around Saskatoon airports near the airport and nothing else.
Make sure to make a day or afternoon to visit some of the sites that Tourism Saskatoon recommends. This includes:
- Wanuskewin Heritage Park
- Remai Modern Museum of Contemporary Art
- Prairie Lily riverboat cruises
- Western Development Museum
- Saskatoon Forestry Farm Park and Zoo
2. Catch a Show or Game
Saskatoon has a number of theatres as well as SaskTel, the city’s main arena, where you can catch a game or concert after that long business meeting.
Venues that offer live productions in dance, music and theatre include:
Home of the Saskatoon Blades WHL team and the Saskatoon Rush Lacrosse league, SaskTel Centre also hosts a number of events throughout the year. This includes trade shows, food events and concerts by big-name music acts, comedians, circus troupes, and more.
Worried about how you’re going to get back to your hotel after having a few beers at the game? Look for hotels near SaskTel Centre and walk.
3. Play Your Hand or Improve Your Handicap
Looking for a fun day or night outing with some of your business colleagues? Why not book a time slot at one of Saskatoon’s excellent golf courses.
They include:
- Dakota Dunes Golf Links
- Greenbryre Golf and Country Club
- Holiday Park Golf Course
- Moon Lake Gold and Country Club
- Ramada Golf Dome
4. Enjoy Leisure Activities at Your Hotel in Saskatoon
If you’re feeling lucky, you can play the slots or tables at the Dakota Dunes Casino, located approximately 30 minutes south from Saskatoon hotels by the airport.
If you are short on time, and don’t have a lot of time to travel to various destinations, why not look for hotels in Saskatoon that offer both business facilities and leisure activities such as a business centre, meeting room along with a fitness centre and an indoor swimming pool with hot tub.
That way you can mix work with play in one location, and also entertain some of your business clients at the same time.
