48 Hours in Saskatoon: What to Do this Fall From Your Hotel in Saskatoon
There’s nothing like a beautiful October or November weekend in Saskatoon to make you want to book a getaway and experience everything this fine Prairie city has to offer. From corn mazes and fall markets to concerts and sporting events, there is plenty to do over 48 hours when you book into our hotel in Saskatoon this fall.
Get Lost in the Maze
Saskatoon Tourism suggests the Saskatoon Italian Cultural Centre and Recreation Centre as a great place to spend a few hours with the family. Just a short drive from the Comfort Suites Saskatoon hotel at Highway 7 and Cedar Villa Road, the centre’s six-acre farm is open for its annual corn maze with this year’s theme Viva Italia! Kids can run around the shorter course while the adventurous can try to find the exit in the more challenging maze. Play a game of bocce on one of two outdoor courts and enjoy a beverage or treat on the patio. If your four-legged friend is staying at one of the best pet-friendly hotels in Saskatoon, bring him or her along. The farm is open to pets on a leash on Sundays after 6 p.m.
Indulge in Some Prairie Goodness
Open year round, the Saskatoon Farmers’ Market in Market Square is a great place to spend an hour or two shopping for locally grown produce and handmade artisan goods. Grab a bite at one of the many Market Square restaurants that offer everything from authentic Mexican tacos to Vietnamese pho to delicious baked goods. The market is open every Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Wednesday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with a Thursday Night Market from 5-9 p.m.
